Amazon Writing Tips

Warning to Authors

Yesterday I dared to suggest my book on two or three discussion threads on the Amazon forums – in response to customers who had written requesting ideas for books to read. Last evening I went to my product page and discovered I had been hit with several nasty tags including “horrible spammer”. I could not believe it. I didn’t know what to think or do, so I went to bed upset and woke up the same way. A while ago, I reported the issue to Amazon’s KDP (publishing) support team and asked if there’s any way to remove the abusive tags. I’m afraid I might be stuck with them, and that they could drive away interested readers. It’s enough to make me want to cry!

So beware, authors. If you want to share news about your books or just talk about writing, look for threads that specifically invite author participation. Don’t set foot in one of those customer discussion minefields as I did. There are some very mean people in this world.

Trained in the visual arts, Lyn worked as a fashion illustrator and art instructor before she took up writing. This hobby grew into a love of research and the crafting of passionate love stories based on that research. This blog is designed to spotlight Lyn's books and share the work of other creative people.
